What a Wonderful Reunion!
Thank you so much to all of you who made the tremendous effort to come & make this evening as special as it was! I know how much planning & expense goes into just coming to a Reunion ~ so I thank all of you who travelled SO FAR, as well as those right around the corner!
Everyone really enjoyed themselves and we were all really happy to see Mr. & Mrs. Frank! The 4 hours flew by like it was just an hour! We had a sit-down dinner, but a lot of people missed a few courses, because we were too busy mingling! We tried to make the Reunion last longer by taking up a collection for the hotel's expense, and although we collected a lot of money, we still needed more, and it just seemed ridiculous (because the Pub was available to us and it was a lot of $ for just an hour!) ~ so, Anthony Pavone had a great idea to donate the $ we pulled together to the Mellanoma Foundation in Kent McCullough's name (Kim Woods McCullough's late husband who just passed away in Feb. '06). This ended the evening on a really nice note ~ and Kim was really appreciative! We were all still able to spend the next 3 hours together ~ we went over the the Pub right inside the hotel & closed that down at 2am! Since the evening flew by, we completely forgot about our Group Photo ~ but we did get a lot of nice photos of everyone! PLEASE SEND ME YOUR PHOTOS!!!
A lot of us were able to stay at the hotel Saturday night, and enjoyed breakfast together Sunday morning!
I really appreciate all of you who were so kind to pull together & present me with the Gift Certificates (and Lisa Abdou Hurd for organizing it all!) ~ it certainly wasn't expected ~ but it is greatly appreciated! I'm going to buy something for myself (which I never do)! Thank you again!
I look forward to the next Reunion ~ please mark your calendars NOW ~ Homecoming Weekend ~ October 2011 (exact date tbd).
